Strategies for Resolving Conflicts in BMBFRs

The Black Male and Black Female Relationships (BMBFR) discussion group is devoted to all aspects of Black male and Black female relationships and its influence on Black family life. Both its problem-centered emphasis and a lack of consensus concerning the causes of the problems characterize the increasing attention dedicated to describing and explaining Black male-female relationships.

This discussion list will openly, honestly and critically examine the various and complex set of systems, institutions, beliefs and behaviors that restrict and/or facilitate healthy and productive Black male and Black female relationships.

Discussion topics will include, but are not limited to the following suggested areas:

  18. Impact of Alternative Lifestyles on Black Heterosexual Relationships

  20. Role of Money and Other Material Exchanges
  21. Impact of Demographics on BMBFRs
  22. Gender Ratios
  23. Exploring Stereotypes and Myths Such as the "Black Matriarchy"
  24. The Black Man's Role?

While the purpose of the BMBFR discussion forum is to clarify the complexity of relationships for Black males and Black females from the onset of dating to the golden years; pride of place will be given to strategies for resolving conflicts in Black Male and Female Relationships.

The permanent benefits of developing such strategies is a base of healthy Black males and Black females relationships thereby enhancing the overall quality of Black family life.

This discussion group is open to all who wish to critically examine the questions, complains and concerns voiced by both Black males and Black females about each other, in combination to discussing strategies for building healthier Black males-females relationships. 

This discussion forum is designed to facilitate a shared learning experience, rather than Black females only speaking to each other about Black males, and Black males only speaking to each other about Black females and their interactions.

Please note that this discussion forum does not operate on the ideas that Black males and Black females are enemies or have problems that are insurmountable. There are many positive and wonderful connections and/or associations to be explored and/or enhanced.

Bring your baggage and let us unpack it and repack for a healthier and wonderful journey through our world.  

Our core operating philosophy centers on a forum to learn, research major ideas, concepts, problems, issues and finding answers to information related to strategies for resolving conflicts in Black Male and Female relationships, worldwide. Open discussion and critical examinations of significant issues, questions and events accomplish this. 

Members of BMBFR are encouraged to comment on the issues that affect our lives and explore, expose, and analyze the most critical issues that effect our lives.

BMBFR discussion forum guidelines:
  1. Be respectful of those who may oppose your views. 
     
  2. Introduce yourself when signing onto the list. A short introduction is always a good icebreaker. Reference your experience and exposure to Black Male Black Female Relationships and related materials.
     
  3. Try to avoid lofty language.  I want to be able to read the posts without looking up every other word.
     
  4. Do not post conference, employment or event announcements, unless they are directly related to Black Male Black Female Relationships.
     
  5. Please, do not post commercials
     
  6. No jokes.  Period.  Unless directly related to Black Male Black Female Relationships.  
     
  7. No personal attacks -- Take it "outside" and keep it off the list.
     
  8. Only send e-mail in standard ASCII text formatting.  Do not use HTML code embedding.
